Police and Firefighters Unions' Contributions Heavily Favored Lawmakers Voting to Grant Collective Bargaining Powers to Public Safety Officials

Dec. 9, 2010 - Based on a Dec. 8 vote in the Senate on a motion to proceed on S 3991, where a no vote would block consideration of final passage, lawmakers voting 'yes' received on average over $8,500 from groups and individuals associated with police and firefighter unions while, 'no' voters received just over $2,000 on average.
