'Yes on 24' Committee Puts in $500,000 to Support Prop. 25, Philip Morris Commits the Same Amount to Oppose Prop. 25
Nov. 1, 2010 - Supporters of Prop. 25 received a $500,000 contribution late last week from the Yes on 24 committee (which is mainly funded by teachers and other public employee unions), bringing total contributions to the support side to just under $12.1 million. The opposition to Prop. 25 has raised almost $17.8 million, including a $500,000 contribution from Philip Morris USA, which has contributed a total of $2.25 million to oppose Prop. 25.
