March 25, 2014 - On Tuesday, March 25, 2014, one day after President Obama's support for ending bulk collection of phone records by the National Security Agency was reported by theNew York Times, Representatives Mike Rogers (R-Mich.) and Dutch Ruppersberger (R- Md.), the Chairman and Ranking Member of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, introduced a bill that would lower the standards for the government to collect data on individuals.
