Another national health care bill by Tiffany Hsieh, Mar 5, 2008 (6:54pm)

Since being elected in 1955, Congressman John Dingell, the author of HR 15, has attempted to introduce national health care legislation every single year. This bill would be funded by a 5% value-added tax on everything but food, housing, medical care, exports, interest, and governmental entities.
The factor that determines whether an organization supports or rejects this bill simply comes down to their support or opposition to government sponsored health care. Opponents believe it is not the government’s job to socialize health care and supporters believe that every American citizen deserves health insurance.
