Genetic Discrimination by Changrui Xiao, Mar 6, 2008 (4:14pm)

Proponents of this bill believe that it would further science and research by getting people who would otherwise fear discrimination to participate in projects that involve genetic screening. Even insurance companies accept the importance of genetic privacy. Opponents say the bill’s definition of “genetic information” is too broad and can lead to abuse as well as frivolous lawsuits.
