Speech-Language Pathologists Loan Forgiveness by Milan Sundaresan, Jun 25, 2008 (5:25pm)

Providing incentives to speech-language pathologists, H.R. 1394 would amend the Higher Education Act of 1965 so that specific loans capped at $17,500 would be canceled or assumed by the government for individuals who have been employed for five consecutive school years as full time speech-language pathologists. With a few additional requirements, eligible pathologists would fit under the umbrella of the teacher loan forgiveness provisions of the Higher Education Act.
