Allowing low income clinics to use volunteer doctors by Anna Costello-Dougherty, Jul 9, 2008 (8:03pm)

In low income areas throughout the country, free clinics have been started to help undeserved communities get health care. However, these clinics run in to a problem with their volunteer doctors because the doctors are not covered by insurance when they are not being paid. To remedy this situation, the Family Health Care Accessibility Act of 2007 will allow those volunteers to be covered as employees of the public health service.
