Collecting $7 billion in Taxes by Tiffany Hsieh, Mar 21, 2008 (3:36pm)

In a Government Accountability Office report, over $7 billion dollars are owed in taxes to the Treasury by firms employed by the federal government. The bill would require any company given a federal contract to prove that they have paid all their taxes in full. This would both address the tax delinquent firms and ensure that responsible firms are given government contracts.
