H.R.5030 - For the relief of Corina de Chalup Turcinovic by Eusebius Wong, Jun 17, 2008 (3:53pm)

Corina Turcinovic is a French national who came to the United States in 1990 to care for her disabled fiance, who died in 2004. Turcinovic overstayed her visa, and was almost deported, though a reprieve at the last minute extended the legality of her stay in the country. He was married to her disabled fiance in 1996, and claims that immigration officials made an error in her application for permanent residency. H.R. 5030 would grant her that status. Seeing as it does not require irresponsible spending of tax dollars, it appears that permitting Turcinovic to stay is not harmful, and may even improve the public image of U.S. immigration policy.
