Thus far, this new piece of tax legislation has been voted on and passed by the House, and is not sitting in a Senate subcommittee. The House voters in favor of the catch-all tax legislation were primarily democrats, and their majority presence again flexed its muscles. President Bush, it appears, is threatening to veto the bill.
