Owyhee Public Land Management Act of 2008 by Joey Isenstadt, Jun 4, 2008 (11:59pm)

The environmentalists and ranchers who came together to compromise and make this the Owyhee Initiative seem to me to have done something commendable. The arguments of those at the Western Lands Project and the Western Watersheds Project are not convincing. Protecting wilderness areas does not have to come at the cost of restricting all private use of it.
