Banning Cell Phones on Plane a Plus by Michael Yu, Aug 7, 2008 (8:29pm)

The ban regarding using cell phones on a plane is a positive benefit for the majority that should stay that way. An airplane ride merely takes up a few hours and should be able to survive without a phone call in that span of time. As a result of an individual not using the cell phone, many passengers will enjoy the airplane ride a lot more without all the noise coming from a particular individual or a few individuals. Lifting the ban also leads to more people using cell phones on the plane, which leads to a chaotic atmosphere where phone conversations could easily be interrupted by those around you. People have managed to survive without cell phones for a long time. A few hours of not having access to a phone should not hurt an individual too much.
