Taking research money away from programs that already work by Anna Costello-Dougherty, Jun 30, 2008 (9:08pm)

Most of the opposition to this bill has surrounded the increase in set aside money taken from federally funded research budgets such as peer-reviewed university research departments. These research institutions do not think they should have any more money removed from their budgets to fund new, potentially ineffective research.
