The Benefits of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Plan of 2009 by Audra Caravas, Jan 28, 2009 (10:55pm)

The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 is a $825 billion economic recovery package that dedicates about two-thirds to new government spending and the rest to tax cuts. In order for existing public services to continue, in the mist of this economic crisis, it is one the top priorities of the Obama Administration. The goal of the stimulus bill is to infuse money directly into the economy in the hope of bringing the nation out of recession, while creating 3 million to 4 million jobs. Some exciting parts of the bill include the increase of Pell Grants, funding for higher education, funding IT for healthcare, funding infrastruce (including public transit), and support for the production of green vehicles. During this historical recession, our economy needs sustenance and I hope Congress acts swiftly in passing this important legislation.

Please vote down this stimulus bill as it contains nothing to stimulate the economy. We need help and people are losing jobs but this bill doesn’t create anything and our children will be paying for it the rest of their lives. You need to be held accountable if you pass this.

Cancel this bill and save our children from paying the debt for the rest of their lives. This bill does not help the economy and you all need to be held accountable if it passes.

Worst president ever -OBAMA by Anonymous, Mar 3, 2009 (6:21pm)

This should have never been allowed to be pushed into law. It is going to cripple America for decades to come just to pay off Obama’s agenda which has so far done little to NOTHING to create new jobs.

Our representatives democrats and republicans need to stop listening to Obama’s fear tactics and start realizing that their decisions have consequences for every last person in America.
