Full Text of this Amendment

SA 4615. Mr. DODD (for himself and Mr. Lieberman) submitted an amendment intended to be proposed by him to the bill H.R. 2881, to amend title 49, United States Code, to authorize appropriations for the Federal Aviation Administration for fiscal years 2008 through 2011, to improve aviation safety and capacity, to provide stable funding for the national aviation system, and for other purposes; which was ordered to lie on the table; as follows:

At the appropriate place, insert the following:
SEC. __. FUNDING LIMITATION FOR INTEGRATED AIRSPACE ALTERNATIVE.
The Administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration may not expend any Federal funds to carry out the Integrated Airspace Alternative (IAA), the preferred alternative selected by the Federal Aviation Administration for the New York/New Jersey/Philadelphia Metropolitan Area Airspace Redesign Project, until all the lawsuits challenging the legality of the IAA that were filed in a Federal court before the date of the enactment of this Act have been dismissed or otherwise reached a final resolution
in favor of the Federal Aviation Administration.
