War Profiteering Prevention Act of 2007
H.R. 400 — 110th Congress (2007–2008)
- Summary
- This bill make defrauding the government or price-fixing in time of war, a felony punishable up to 20 years in prison and 1 million dollars. There are some laws on the books for such things, dating back to the civil war, but none of these can be applied to contractors operating in Iraq or Afghanistan, for various reasons. (by CRS)
