Full Text of this Amendment
At the end of title V, add the following:
SEC. 503. CREDIT REPORTS IN CONSUMER'S NATIVE LANGUAGE.
Section 612(a)(1) of the Fair Credit Reporting Act (15 U.S.C. 1681j(a)(1)) is amended by adding at the end the following:
``(D) NATIVE LANGUAGE REQUIREMENT FOR NON-ENGLISH SPEAKERS.--The disclosures required under this paragraph shall be provided, upon request, to the extent possible, in the native language of any consumer having limited ability to read, write, speak, and understand English, subject to such limitations and in accordance with such guidelines as shall be established by the Commission, in consultation with the Federal Interagency Working Group on Limited
English Proficiency.''.
