Aug. 28, 2013—MapLight, a nonpartisan research organization that tracks money's influence on politics, announces the launch of a search tool that allows journalists and citizens to easily search the California Secretary of State's newly released bulk data to find campaign contributions to candidate and ballot committees dating back to 2001. More functionalities will be added in the coming weeks.
