Supporters--primarily mining and manufacturing unions--gave an average of nine times more to legislators who voted Yes, compared to legislators who voted No.
Opponents--such as mining companies-- gave an average of three times more to legislators who voted No on this bill, compared to legislators who voted Yes.

- Interests who supported this bill, such as mining unions and manufacturing unions, gave an average of $20,736 to each legislator who voted Yes. They gave an average of $2,311 to each legislator who voted No--nine times less.
- Interests who opposed this bill, such as mining companies, gave an average of $4,599 to each legislator who voted Yes. They gave an average of $13,113 to each legislator who voted No--three times more.
- 214 House members voted Yes, to pass the bill, and 199 voted No, against passage.
